Life Purpose and Flying Cars

Let’s live on purpose. A friend of mine has been repeatedly asked:

What are you going to do with your life?

They repeatedly answer:

I don’t know.

My friend has been successful at every job they take. They just feel remarkably unfulfilled. They explained the feeling to me as an internal failure. They feel lost living a life without purpose.

My friend asked me to tell them their life purpose by requesting:

Do that thing you do at parties.

That thing I do at parties is an old trick. In less than two minutes, I can tell someone’s life purpose with amazing accuracy.

People often make the mistake of thinking a life purpose is about a job or a career. I see life purpose as a thread that weaves together all our life experiences. Life purpose brings structure to random past memories and future dreams.

My friend was struggling because people kept asking the wrong question:

What are you going to do with your life?

That’s not a question to be asked or answered. It’s too limiting. The only accurate response to that question is:

A lot.

We do A LOT in a lifetime and everything we do changes over time.

My grandfather delivered milk from a horse drawn wagon, and I’ll soon be driving a flying car. No one can possibly know what we’re going TO DO over the course of a lifetime.

Life purpose is less about doing and more about discovering something that already exists within you.

It’s easy for me to see your life purpose because my eyes have been trained to see your skills, talents and innate abilities. It’s what I do all day. A good Being Valued Individual Session is complete when three questions are answered with a YES.

Do you know who you are?

Do you know what you want?

Do you know how to get it?

Better than me knowing your life purpose, I want YOU to know. That’s the fun of the party trick.

Do you know who you are? YES!

A simple question with a one word answer. Finding your life purpose is simple because it already exists.

Since my friend asked about their life purpose, I told them in two seconds with two words:

To Fly.

As soon as I said the words, a light radiated from their heart as they screamed: Oh my God! You’re RIGHT!!

Since I was a little kid, I’ve had a recurring dream of driving flying cars. I never told anyone because I didn’t think it was possible.

The floodgates opened and the next 90 minutes were filled with countless stories of my friend flying through life - including how they learned Accelerated Free Fall Skydiving.

That’s why it’s a great party trick. It’s guaranteed joy and laughter when you live on purpose.

Let’s live on purpose together. Let’s talk about what radiates from our hearts and souls. Let’s all find our own way to fly through life.
