Shhh…Tell Everyone!
Let’s promote others. I had an issue with my back and a friend of mine said:
I know someone who can help.
I hesitated because I’m happy with my doctor and the prescribed treatment. My friend said:
This is an addition not a replacement for medical care.
My friend texted me a first name and phone number, and said:
Just call them. They helped me.
What’s their website? They don’t have one.
Do they have a Facebook page? No.
Instagram? No.
Linkedin? No.
Google Reviews? No.
My mind began to spin. It felt like a shady deal with a movie character saying:
I gotta guy.
Pain often beats reason, so I made the call.
And it worked. And now I want to tell everyone: I gotta a guy who can help.
I don’t know exactly what they did to help. All I know is it worked.
Just call them. They helped me.
Whenever I am brave enough to make the call, I meet the most extraordinary people with talents beyond words I can describe.
I once drove through the night from Kalamazoo, Michigan to Portsmouth, New Hampshire to meet the dad of a bestselling health author. The author told me privately his dad was the mastermind behind his work, but chose to remain quiet. I gained more from spending three hours with his dad than reading the book three times.
That experience was more than 20 years ago, and it changed me forever.
Whenever someone tells me about a quiet genius, I make the call. I go out of my way to meet them – knowing finding them is never easy.
From a Tibetan Doctor in rural England to a woman who helps heal famous athletes from her trailer home in Racine, Wisconsin, I’ve met many quiet geniuses.
Most recently, I met a woman who lives in Bend, Oregon. I can’t even begin to tell you what she does in a 20 minute phone call. And yet, I can feel the change within me. I don’t know what it is, but it’s working for me. Now, I promote her by telling others:
I gotta gal.
She helped me. I’ll text you her phone number.
Some of the most talented people are the most quiet.
That’s who I want to be. I want to be the person who people refer to others by saying:
Just call them. They helped me.
I don’t want to help heal bodies. I gotta a guy and a gal who does that. I want to be the quiet genius who helps people learn from their struggles and grow their gifts. I want to help give people the experience of being valued.
I see your innate gifts, talents and abilities. We all have genius inside of us waiting to be discovered, nurtured, and promoted.
Let’s promote others together. Let’s give people great word-of-mouth referrals. Let’s tell everyone about the people quietly living their lives doing what they do best.
